Hey Carpool Crew! 🚗 Whether you’re grabbing your backpack, logging in for homeschool, or just chilling before the day kicks off — I’m Pastor Justin, and I’m so glad you’re here.
Today we’re talking about someone you probably see almost every day: your teacher. Maybe your teacher is the funniest person you know, maybe they run class like bootcamp, or maybe you just don’t feel like you get them at all. But here’s the thing — God cares about how you treat them.
Our verse today comes from Hebrews 13:17 (CSB):👉 “Obey your leaders and submit to them, since they keep watch over your souls.”
That verse was written to adults in the church, but it still matters for you — because your teacher is a leader too. They’re not just giving homework for fun. They’re helping you learn, grow, and prepare for the future, even if you don’t always see it that way.
💡 In this episode, you’ll learn:
Why showing respect to teachers is part of showing respect to God.
What Jesus might say if He walked into your classroom.
Three super simple ways to show your teacher respect:
Look up — pay attention when they’re talking.
Talk nice — no eye rolls, muttering, or “whatever.”
Say thanks — a quick “thank you” or even a sticky note can make their day.
Respect isn’t just about rules — it’s about showing God’s love in how you treat people: your family, your neighbors, your coaches, your librarian, your janitor… and yes, your teachers.
👨👩👧 Parent Tip: If this episode encourages you, share it with another parent today so they can start these conversations with their kids too.
📍 Family Question: What’s one small way you can show your teacher respect today?

Hey Carpool Crew! 🚗 Maybe you’re hanging out at the breakfast table, planning your weekend, or still lounging in your pajamas — welcome to a special Saturday episode of Carpooling with Jesus!
Today we’re talking about something everyone feels sometimes: fear. Even the bravest people — David in the Bible, me (Pastor Justin), and yes, even you — get scared. But here’s the good news: you don’t have to face fear alone.
Our verse today is short but powerful:👉 “When I am afraid, I will trust in you.” — Psalm 56:3 (CSB)
David wrote this while he was running for his life, afraid and unsure of what was next. Instead of pretending to be strong, he prayed, “I’m afraid, but I trust you.” That’s real courage.
If Jesus were sitting next to you today, He’d remind you: “I see your fear. I know it feels big. But I’m bigger — and I’m right here with you.”
💡 In this episode, you’ll learn:
Why it’s okay to admit your fears to God.
How trusting Him is the bravest move you can make.
Real-life ways to be courageous, even when you feel scared.
A story about my daughter Everly learning to be brave on a big waterslide!
Remember: Bravery isn’t about faking strength — it’s about trusting God to give you strength right where you are.
👨👩👧 Parent Tip: This weekend, share this episode with other parents at church or in your Facebook group. Encourage another family with this reminder of God’s truth.
📍 Family Question: What’s one way you can be brave with God this week, even if you’re scared?

Hey Carpool Crew! 🚗💨 Whether you’re zipping up your lunchbox, feeding the dog before school, or holding the door for someone at the store—this one’s for you.
Sometimes we think the little things don’t matter—like cleaning up without being asked, saying thank you, or telling the truth about something small. But Jesus says otherwise! In Luke 16:10, He teaches that being faithful in the little things shows we can be trusted with bigger things.
In this episode, we’ll explore:
Why Jesus cares about small acts of honesty, kindness, and responsibility
How little choices shape the person you’re becoming
What integrity means (doing the right thing even when no one’s watching)
Simple ways to be faithful every day—like making your bed, helping without being asked, and choosing kindness over being right
Jesus sees what others miss. Even a smile, a prayer, or a kind word can make a huge impact in God’s kingdom. Small is mighty when it’s done with faithfulness. 🌟
Parents — If this podcast encourages your family, share it with a parent friend so they can experience Carpooling with Jesus too!

Hey Carpool Crew — whether you’re strapping on your helmet, grabbing your backpack, or just waking up slow at the breakfast table, I’m Pastor Justin, and I’m so glad you’re here! 🚗✨
Today is a special day — it’s my son’s ninth birthday, and he’s one bold BMX racer! Watching him race got me thinking about how God uses bold people in the Bible — like Peter, who actually walked on water in the middle of a storm (Matthew 14:29).
In this episode, we’ll learn:
Why real boldness comes from keeping our eyes on Jesus
How Peter’s courage — and moment of fear — can teach us to trust God
Why every gift, bold or quiet, is important in the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12)
How to use the unique way God made you for His glory
Parents, after listening, take a moment to tell your kids what gifts you see in them — boldness, compassion, creativity — and encourage them to use those gifts for God this week.
💬 Discussion Question: What’s one gift God gave you, and how could you use it for Him this week?
Remember — no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you!

Hey Carpool Crew! 🚗💨 Whether you’re tying your shoes for school, grabbing a quick bite at the breakfast table, or settling in for homeschool, this episode is for YOU.
Have you ever been told you’re “just a kid”? That you’re too young to do anything important? God doesn’t think that way. In fact, today’s verse—1 Timothy 4:12—is a reminder that your words, actions, and love can set an example for everyone around you, no matter your age.
We’ll talk about:
How Timothy led churches as a young man
What Paul meant when he said, “Don’t let anyone despise your youth”
Practical ways YOU can set an example in your speech, actions, and faith—starting right now
Why Jesus chose kids for big things then…and still does today
You don’t have to wait until you’re grown up to make a difference. You’re already shining Jesus’ light in your home, school, and neighborhood. 🌟

Hey Carpool Crew! 🚗Do you know who you really are? Not just your name or grade—but who God says you are? In today’s episode of Carpooling with Jesus, Pastor Justin unpacks 1 Peter 2:9, a powerful reminder that you are chosen, royal, holy, and deeply treasured by God.
Kids will learn:
What “chosen,” “royal priesthood,” and “holy nation” really mean
Why your true identity isn’t based on grades, talents, or popularity
Simple ways to live like you belong to God every day
We’ll break down big Bible words, share encouragement for when you feel left out, and give you practical steps—like writing reminders, speaking kindness, and celebrating others—so you can walk in the truth of who God made you to be.
Key Verse: 1 Peter 2:9 (CSB) — “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession.”
Remember: You are not forgotten, not a mistake—you are chosen, you are loved, and you are made to shine His light.

Hey Carpool Crew! It’s easy to be thankful when you get a gift, win a prize, or hear your favorite dinner is on the table. But what about when you lose a game, your plans change, or you’re having a rough day? In today’s episode, we look at 1 Thessalonians 5:18 — “Give thanks in everything; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” We’ll talk about why thankfulness isn’t just for the good moments, but for every moment, because God is still working in us no matter what’s happening around us.
You’ll learn simple, everyday ways to grow a thankful heart — starting small, writing it down, saying it out loud, and praying about it — even when life feels hard.
Before you go, answer this together: What’s one thing you can thank God for, even when life feels tough?

Ever feel jealous when someone else gets the spotlight, scores the winning goal, or gets the bigger dessert? You're not alone—and there's a better way to respond.
In today’s episode of Carpooling with Jesus, Pastor Justin helps kids understand where jealousy comes from and how God’s wisdom can turn envy into joy. Through James 3:16–17, we learn that jealousy creates confusion, but God's wisdom brings peace, mercy, and kindness. We even hear about a real-life story from Pastor Justin’s son, Canon, who learned to cheer others on—even when he didn’t win.
💡 Key Verse:James 3:16–17 (CSB) — “For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there is disorder… but the wisdom from above is… full of mercy and good fruits.”
❤️ Big Idea:Jesus doesn’t want us to compare or compete—He wants us to celebrate, be thankful, and love others well.
🎯 Practical Steps for Kids:
Name it – Tell God when you feel jealous.
Celebrate others – Say “I’m happy for you,” even when it’s tough.
Be thankful – Make a list of your blessings, big and small.
📣 Discussion Question:What’s one way you can practice choosing joy instead of jealousy this week?

📘 Key Verse: Deuteronomy 31:6 – He will not leave you or abandon you🎯 Bottom Line: People may leave you out, but God never will. You are loved, seen, and chosen.👂 Discussion Question: Who is someone you can include this week so they don’t feel left out?

Are you feeling nervous, worried, or just plain scared today? You're not the only one. In this comforting Carpooling with Jesus episode, Pastor Justin talks about fear—what it is, why we all feel it (even grownups), and what God says to do when it shows up.
We look at Isaiah 41:10 — “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God.” You’ll hear how this promise was first shared during a very scary time in history—and how it still applies to your life today.
Jesus doesn’t expect us to never feel afraid. He promises to be with us in the fear. Whether it’s the first day of school, the dark, or something unknown, you’ll learn how to:
Name your fear and bring it into the light
Talk to God honestly about what’s making you anxious
Remember the truth of Isaiah 41:10
Take one brave step, even if your voice shakes
📘 Key Verse: Isaiah 41:10🎯 Bottom Line: Feeling afraid doesn’t make you weak. It’s what you do with fear that matters—and Jesus is with you every step of the way.👂 Discussion Question: What’s one thing that makes you feel afraid, and how can you remember that God is with you in it?
