Hey Carpool Crew! Whether you’re hiking a new trail or heading off to a brand-new camp, I’m Pastor Justin—and today we’re diving into a Bible verse that’s worth remembering your whole life. It’s about fear—and what God actually says when we feel scared.
📖 Verse of the Day: Isaiah 41:10 (CSB)“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God.”
This verse comes from the book of Isaiah, written over 2,700 years ago to God’s people when their world felt scary and uncertain. And instead of giving them a to-do list or telling them to “be braver,” God gives them a promise: I am with you.
💬 In this episode, your kids will learn:– What Isaiah 41:10 meant then and why it still matters today– That God doesn’t mock or rush our fear—He meets us in it– What Jesus might say if He sat with us in our scariest moments– How to respond with faith when you’re facing something new or frightening
🌟 Real-Life Applications for Kids:– Say the verse out loud when you're afraid of the dark– Remember God is with you when you're the new kid somewhere– Ask Jesus for peace when your thoughts feel noisy or your heart feels heavy– Take a deep breath and say, “God, I know you’re with me”
🎧 Parents:If this encouraged your family, send the link to a friend or post it in your parent group on Facebook. Let’s help more families have these kinds of faith-filled conversations together!
📣 Before you go, ask each other:What’s something that makes you feel afraid—and how can you remember that God is with you in that moment?

Hey Carpool Crew! Whether you’re headed to the dentist (yikes!) or relaxing in the back seat with your shades on, I’m Pastor Justin—and today we’re talking about something that really matters when life gets tricky: courage.
Not superhero-style courage, but the kind of bravery that shows up when things feel bigger than you are. When you’re nervous, unsure, or scared—God promises to be right there with you.
📖 Verse of the Day: Joshua 1:9 (CSB)“Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
👣 In today’s episode, kids will discover:– Why God told Joshua to be courageous even when he felt scared– That courage doesn’t mean having zero fear—it means moving forward anyway– How Jesus showed courage in hard moments—and gives us the same strength– Real-life examples of what courage looks like at school, at camp, and in our faith
💪 Application Time:– Speak up for what’s right– Try something new even if you’re nervous– Share your faith with boldness– Don’t give up, even when it’s hard
🎧 Parents:If this episode encouraged your family, share it with a kid’s pastor or a parent friend this weekend. And tag us on Instagram to help more families discover Carpooling with Jesus!Instagram: @carpoolingwithJesus

Hey Carpool Crew! Whether you’re on your way to camp, grabbing breakfast, or chillin’ after a swim, Pastor Justin here—and today we’re talking about strength. Not just muscle strength—but heart strength. The kind you need when you're facing big decisions, tough situations, or scary moments.
📖 Verse of the Day: Joshua 1:9 (CSB)“Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
We’ll step into Joshua’s shoes—right after Moses has passed—and discover how God reminds him (and us!) that true strength comes from His presence, not our performance.
👊 In this episode, your kids will learn:– What it really means to be “strong and courageous”– That it’s okay to feel nervous or scared sometimes– How Jesus gives us strength to do the right thing, even when it’s hard– How to practice bravery at school, in family moments, and in everyday challenges

What’s better than your favorite drink, your strongest muscles, or even a protein bar? According to the Bible—it’s joy. Real strength comes from the joy of the Lord, and today we’re diving into what that really means.
In Nehemiah 8:10, God’s people had just rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem and were hearing His Word after years of being far from Him. They felt emotional, guilty, overwhelmed—but Nehemiah and Ezra reminded them not to stay sad. Why? Because God’s joy is what gives us true strength.
Today’s episode reminds kids:
Joy doesn’t depend on what’s happening—it depends on who God is.
You don’t have to fake a smile to have real strength.
Jesus gives us joy that helps us stay kind, hopeful, and strong even when life is hard.
🚗 Whether you’re riding home after a long day or curled up on the couch with a Popsicle, Pastor Justin is here to help you tap into a joy that never runs out.
🧠 Bottom Line:Joy isn’t the same as happiness. It’s deeper—and it comes from knowing Jesus is always with you.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parent Action Step:Text a friend the link to this episode or drop it in a Facebook group to help other families discover joy with Jesus too.

Today’s story is one of Jesus’s most snack-filled miracles—and it all starts with a kid and his lunchbox. Just five loaves. Two fish. And somehow… thousands of people are fed.
In John 6:9, we meet a boy who offers up his small lunch. And Jesus? He doesn’t say, “That’s not enough.” He says, “That’ll do.” He blesses it, breaks it, and feeds everyone. With leftovers!
Today’s episode helps kids discover:
That Jesus loves using small things in big ways
Why you’re never too young to make a difference
What it means to give your time, talents, and faith—even if they feel tiny
🚗 Whether you’re hanging under a beach umbrella or munching trail mix in the backseat, this story will remind you: God multiplies what we surrender.
🧠 Bottom Line:Jesus can do big things with small offerings—so give Him what you’ve got.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parent Action Step:Share this episode with a parent friend and talk as a family about one small way you can serve someone this week—just like the boy with the lunchbox.
💬 Family Discussion Question:What’s one small thing you could offer to Jesus today—and how do you think He might use it?

Today’s episode is all about... ants. Yep, those tiny little bugs crawling around your sidewalk. But did you know God says we can actually learn from them?
In Proverbs 6:6, King Solomon—the wisest man who ever lived—calls out laziness and tells us to watch how ants work. Why? Because they hustle with purpose, plan ahead, and get the job done even when no one's watching. Solomon drops some serious wisdom in this short verse, and we’re breaking it down just for you.
Jesus often used nature to teach, and ants? They totally fit. Today’s devotional will challenge kids to:
Spot the difference between rest and laziness
Use their time, energy, and gifts for good
Work with intention—just like ants
🚗 Whether you're chilling at the park, sipping a slushie, or cleaning your room (ant-style), Pastor Justin is here to help you follow Jesus in the small things that matter.
🧠 Bottom Line:You don’t have to be big to be wise—you just have to move with purpose.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parent Action Step:Pick one “Ant Hour” this week—an hour of focused work as a family. No distractions, just getting something done together.
💬 Family Discussion Question:What’s one thing you’ve been putting off… and how can you tackle it like an ant this week?

Hey Carpool Crew! Whether you're cooling off with a Slurpee or relaxing in the shade, today's story is next-level wild. It’s about a group of friends so determined to get their buddy to Jesus… they tore a hole in a roof. 😳
Our verse today is Mark 2:3–4 (CSB):
“They came to him bringing a paralytic, carried by four of them. Since they were not able to bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and after digging through it, they lowered the mat on which the paralytic was lying.”
📍 In this high-energy story from the Gospel of Mark:
Jesus is preaching in a packed house in Capernaum
Four faith-filled friends refuse to let the crowd stop them
They dig through the roof and lower their paralyzed friend down
Jesus is so moved by their faith, He heals their friend—body and soul
🙌 Takeaway Truth: Real friends do whatever it takes to get each other closer to Jesus.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parent Action Step:Tag a parent or kids’ pastor in the comments, or share this episode with someone who needs a reminder about the power of faithful friendship. 💪
🗣️ Today’s Discussion Question:Who are your “roof friends”—the people who help bring you closer to Jesus?

Hey Carpool Crew! Whether you're crashing in the backseat after soccer or helping dad haul in groceries, today’s story is weird, funny, and packed with truth. Imagine getting bread from heaven every day—literally baked by God—and still whining about onions. 🍞🧅 Yep, it happened.
Our verse of the day is Numbers 11:5–6 (CSB):
“We remember the free fish we ate in Egypt, along with the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions, and garlic. But now our appetite is gone; there’s nothing to look at but this manna!”
God had just rescued His people from Egypt with Red Sea-splitting, sky-guiding, miracle-level power—and now He’s feeding them with manna from the sky. But instead of praising Him, they start complaining… about vegetables.
📍In this episode, kids will learn:
What manna really was (miracle bread from God!)
Why grumbling makes us miss God’s goodness
That Jesus wants us to see the miracles happening now, not just wish for the past
How to trade complaints for gratitude—every single day
🙌 Takeaway Truth: Don’t miss the miracle because you’re craving onions.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parent Action Step:Snap a photo of where you’re listening and tag us on Instagram @carpoolingwithJesus! Let’s spread the good news that God is working even in the small stuff.
🗣️ Today’s Discussion Question:What’s something you’ve complained about recently—and how could you see it differently by focusing on what God is doing right now?

Hey Carpool Crew! Whether you’re swinging from monkey bars or riding home with sand in your shoes, Pastor Justin is back with an epic Bible story that kids won’t forget. Today, we’re talking about Zacchaeus, the man who climbed a tree just to see Jesus!
Our verse of the day is Luke 19:4 (CSB)
“So running ahead, he climbed up a sycamore tree to see Jesus, since he was about to pass that way.”
Zacchaeus lived in Jericho, had lots of money—but no real friends. Why? Because he stole from people! But when he heard Jesus was coming, he ran and climbed a tree to get a glimpse. What happened next? Jesus saw him, called him by name, and chose to spend time with him—just as he was.
📍 In this episode, kids will learn:
Why Zacchaeus climbed the tree and what it showed about his heart
That Jesus sees you—you don’t have to climb higher or try harder
How to take bold steps toward Jesus
How to make things right, just like Zacchaeus did
How to be a friend to someone who feels left out
⏱️ Plus, we’ve got a fun challenge: If you climb a tree this week, think about how Jesus already sees you and loves you—no climbing required!
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parent Action Step:Share this episode with another parent or post it in a Facebook group. Help others turn car rides into faith-filled conversations!
🗣️ Today’s Discussion Question:What’s one way you can be like Zacchaeus and take a bold step toward Jesus today?
