Summer is finally here! That means pool days, vacations, sleeping in, camp adventures, and lots of fun. But let's be honest, it also means there will be moments when you're bored and not sure what to do next.
In today's episode, Pastor Justin shares a powerful lesson from Colossians 3:23 and reminds us that even our most ordinary moments matter to God. Whether you're helping around the house, writing an encouraging note, or looking for ways to serve your family, Jesus can use even your boring moments for something good.
You'll learn:
• What the Apostle Paul taught about everyday tasks • Why boredom doesn't have to be wasted time • Three simple ways to turn a boring day into a meaningful one • How serving others can change your attitude and brighten someone else's day
Today's Key Verse:
"Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people." Colossians 3:23 (CSB)
Bottom Line: Even your boring moments can be turned into something good for God.
Discussion Question: What's one boring moment you've had recently, and where could you choose to do something kind or helpful instead?

Hey Carpool Crew!
Summer is finally here, and today Pastor Justin asks one of the most important questions anyone can ever answer:
Who is Jesus to you?
In this special summer kickoff episode, we look at a moment when Jesus asked His disciples what people were saying about Him. Everyone seemed to have an opinion. Some thought He was a prophet. Others thought He was someone else from the Bible. But Jesus wasn't interested in what everyone else thought.
He asked a personal question:
"Who do you say that I am?"
That same question still matters today.
Kids will learn that faith isn't about borrowing someone else's answer. It's about discovering who Jesus is for themselves. Whether you're spending summer with family, at camp, with friends, or just enjoying a break from school, this episode encourages listeners to spend time getting to know Jesus personally.
Today's Bible Verse:Matthew 16:15 (CSB)
Big Idea:You decide who Jesus is to you.
What Kids Will Learn:• Why Jesus asked His disciples who they believed He was• Why everyone has to answer that question for themselves• Simple ways to grow closer to Jesus this summer• How faith becomes personal and real
Summer Challenge:• Start each morning by saying, "Hi, Jesus."• Read one chapter from Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John each week.• Be ready to tell others who Jesus is to you.
Family Discussion Question:Who do you say Jesus is? And how can we keep that real all summer long?

Hey Carpool Crew,
Kids have a short list of who counts. The friends they sit with at lunch. The kids on their team. The group at recess. Everybody else gets walked past. Today on Carpooling with Jesus, Pastor Justin walks kids through Luke 10:36 and the story of the Good Samaritan. The point lands different for kids than they expect. A priest walked past. A temple worker walked past. The Samaritan, who nobody thought would help, stopped. He bandaged the man on the side of the road. He put him on his own donkey. He paid for his room at the inn and told the innkeeper, "If it costs more, I'll pay when I come back." Jesus' question lands on all of us. Which one was the neighbor?
This Friday episode gives kids three real moves to try this weekend. The stop-and-check move. The helpful-without-being-asked move. The "ask Jesus who I keep walking past" move. About 5 minutes, kid-friendly, with a discussion question to land on before the weekend kicks in.
Today's One Thing: Be a neighbor to whoever is right in front of you.

Hey Carpool Crew,
Most kids keep score. Not on purpose. It just happens. The sibling who keeps doing the thing that bugs them. The friend who hurt their feelings again. The kid at school who said something mean and they can still feel it days later. Each one gets added to a quiet list in their head. And the longer the list, the heavier it gets. Today on Carpooling with Jesus, Pastor Justin walks kids through Matthew 18:22, where Peter walks up to Jesus and asks how many times he has to forgive somebody. Peter guesses seven. Jesus says seventy times seven. The point isn't the math. The point is stop counting. Forgiveness doesn't have a number on it.
This episode gives kids three real forgiveness moves to try this week. The "Jesus, I'm letting it go" move. The one-breath move. The "I'm sorry" move. About 5 minutes, kid-friendly, and a discussion question for the whole family before they jump out of the car.
Today's One Thing: Stop counting, start forgiving.

Hey Carpool Crew!
Most kids think prayer is something fancy. Quiet church voice. Hands folded. Eyes squeezed shut extra tight. Special words they're not sure they can pull off. So a lot of kids skip it because they're not sure they're doing it right. Today on Carpooling with Jesus, Pastor Justin walks kids through Luke 11:1, where Jesus' own friends asked Him, "Lord, teach us to pray." Jesus didn't hand them a complicated formula. He gave them a short, real, honest prayer we now call the Lord's Prayer. The point lands clean for kids. God is close. He's listening. You don't need fancy words to talk to Him.
This episode gives kids three real prayer moves to try this week. The wake-up prayer. The middle-of-the-moment prayer. The two-sentence bedtime prayer. About 5 minutes, kid-friendly, with a discussion question to land on before they jump out of the car.
Today's One Thing: You can talk to God any time, and He hears you.

Hey Carpool Crew!
Today's episode is built on Luke 10:41. Martha is hustling to make everything perfect while her sister Mary just sits with Jesus. Martha gets frustrated and calls Jesus out, but Jesus reminds her that being with him matters more than working for him.
One Thing to Remember: Be with Jesus before you work for Jesus.
Three ways kids can practice this week:
In the morning, take 30 seconds to say, "Jesus, here's my day. Stay with me in it."
Pick one car ride this week to play a worship song instead of scrolling.
Before bed, tell Jesus one thing about your day. Just one sentence.
Family Discussion Question: When this week can our family slow down and just be with Jesus together?

Hey Carpool Crew!
Pastor Justin kicks off the week with a shout out to Harper in Maryvale, Tennessee, and a challenge for the whole carpool crew: make room for the kid no one else is making room for.
Today's episode walks kids through Mark 10:14, when the disciples tried to block parents from bringing their kids to Jesus. Jesus stopped everything, called the kids over, and reminded everyone that they were never in the way.
One Thing to Remember: Make room for the kid no one is making room for.
Three things kids can do this week:
Find one kid sitting alone at lunch and ask to sit with them.
Say yes the first time a younger sibling wants to hang out.
Look for the kid not playing at recess and invite them in.
Family Discussion Question: Why was it important to Jesus to tell the disciples to let all the kids come to him?

Hey Carpool Crew!Today’s bonus episode is all about something every kid deals with... hygiene. Brushing your teeth. Taking showers. Wearing clean clothes. Washing your hands. Yep, we’re going there.
But this episode is about way more than just smelling good.
Pastor Justin talks about what the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:19 and why the body God gave you is worth taking care of. You’ll hear funny real-life examples, honest talk about the “fake shower” strategy kids try to pull off, and practical ways to build better habits this week.
Most importantly, you’ll discover that taking care of yourself isn’t about looking perfect. It’s about respecting what God created.
Today’s big idea:The body God gave you is worth taking care of.
Discussion Question:What is one thing about your hygiene routine that you could do a little better this week? And how can your parents help you do it?

Hey Carpool Crew! In today’s episode, Pastor Justin shares the story from Luke chapter 17 where Jesus heals ten men with leprosy, but only one comes back to say thank you.
All ten men experienced a miracle. All ten were healed. But only one stopped what he was doing, turned around, and thanked Jesus with a grateful heart.
This episode teaches kids why gratitude matters and how easy it can be to rush through life without noticing all the good gifts God has given us. From family and food to friendship and help from others, Jesus invites us to slow down, notice blessings, and say thank you out loud.
Kids will learn:
Why only one healed man returned to thank Jesus
How gratitude changes our attitude
Why saying thank you matters to God and people
Simple ways to practice thankfulness every day
How to notice blessings we often overlook
Scripture Referenced:Luke 17:15 (CSB)
Today’s challenge:Before you go to bed tonight, think of one thing you’re thankful for and say it out loud. Then thank one person this week with your actual words, not just a quick wave or shrug.

Hey Carpool Crew! In today’s episode, Pastor Justin shares the incredible story from Mark chapter 4 when Jesus calmed a massive storm with just three words: “Silence. Be still.”
The disciples were terrified as waves crashed into their boat and the wind shook everything around them. But while everyone else panicked, Jesus stood up calmly and showed that even the wind and waves obey Him.
This episode reminds kids that Jesus is not only bigger than storms outside the boat, but also the storms happening inside our hearts and minds. Whether it’s anxiety, fear, frustration, sadness, or stress, Jesus cares about every loud feeling we carry.
Kids will learn:
Why the disciples were so afraid during the storm
How Jesus responded with peace instead of panic
What to do when emotions feel overwhelming
Why talking about your worries helps
How prayer invites Jesus into hard moments
Scripture Referenced:Mark 4:39 (CSB)
Today’s challenge:When your thoughts or emotions start feeling loud this week, stop and take three slow breaths while praying:“Jesus, be still.”
Then talk to someone you trust about what’s going on inside your heart.
