September 1st: Lets Be Wise Like Jesus | Kids Devotional Carpooling with Jesus

This month we’re starting something new:
Proverbs for Your School Life 🎒📚
Every day in September, we’re digging into powerful wisdom from the book of Proverbs—stuff Jesus Himself would’ve learned as a kid!

We’re kicking things off with today’s verse:
👉 Proverbs 1:7 — “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline.”

💬 What does that mean?

• “Fear of the Lord” doesn’t mean being scared. It means deep respect—taking God seriously and listening to Him.

• Wisdom doesn’t come from knowing everything—it comes from knowing Who to trust.

• Fools ignore truth, roll their eyes at correction, and act like they’ve got it all figured out. Don’t be that kid.

💡 In this episode, kids will learn:

• Why wisdom begins with respecting God.

• What Jesus might say if He were sitting next to you right now.

• How to live wisely at school, even when it’s hard.

✅ Real-life application for school:

• Start your day by praying: “God, help me live wisely today.”

• Respect God more than your own opinion—take His Word seriously.

• Listen to correction—it’s not punishment, it’s how you grow.

Start with God. That’s where wisdom begins.
