June 18th: The Zacchaeus Tree-Climbing Story Jesus Sees You | Carpooling with Jesus

Hey Carpool Crew! Whether you’re swinging from monkey bars or riding home with sand in your shoes, Pastor Justin is back with an epic Bible story that kids won’t forget. Today, we’re talking about Zacchaeus, the man who climbed a tree just to see Jesus!

Our verse of the day is Luke 19:4 (CSB)

“So running ahead, he climbed up a sycamore tree to see Jesus, since he was about to pass that way.”

Zacchaeus lived in Jericho, had lots of money—but no real friends. Why? Because he stole from people! But when he heard Jesus was coming, he ran and climbed a tree to get a glimpse. What happened next? Jesus saw him, called him by name, and chose to spend time with him—just as he was.

📍 In this episode, kids will learn:

• Why Zacchaeus climbed the tree and what it showed about his heart

• That Jesus sees you—you don’t have to climb higher or try harder

• How to take bold steps toward Jesus

• How to make things right, just like Zacchaeus did

• How to be a friend to someone who feels left out
